6th Grade

6th Grade is part of our Middle School Model. Teachers for this class include Mr. Steve Golobich, Ms. Eva Kolodji, and Mrs. Vanessa Roxberg. 

The 6th grade class at Assumption takes on a leadership role for the younger grades. It is important that these students learn their actions matter and the importance of being a good role model for others. 6th grade is full of wonderful field trips and learning opportunities.
Here are a few to highlight:  

• Downhill ski day 
• Service projects
• Saint Paul Field Trip including MN Science Museum, St. Paul Cathedral, MN History Center, State Capitol Building.  
• Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center: This is a favorite of so many students. This is a multiple night stay on the North Shore of Lake Superior near Silver Bay, MN. There are hands on environmental studies, rock climbing, etc. Parents are welcome.  
• Pierogi Making Party: This is a fundraiser in which the students take ownership. They oversee everything from taking orders, organizing the community of volunteers, to peeling the potatoes. Nothing teaches a student about hard work like doing it!
