5th Grade

5th Grade is part of our Middle School Model. Teachers for this class include Mr. Steve Golobich, Ms. Eva Kolodji, and Mrs. Vanessa Roxberg. 5th grade offers many unique opportunities for kids to learn and become confident in who God has created them to be. The students are immersed in reading and math every day. The Marketing project for math allows students to create homemade items and sell in school. The 5th grade class has many public speaking opportunities in a comfortable environment to allow kids to become proficient and confident speakers. Some of these opportunities include reading at mass, wax museum for social studies, dinner and a play, and science fair projects.  

There are also many field trips in 5th grade. Here are a few to mention:  

• Starbase Camp in Duluth 
• Mississippi Headwaters  
• Giants Ridge Downhill skiing 
• History Center in Grand Rapids  
• Duluth Vista Queen or King boat ride
